Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

If you’ve never heard of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, it’s time you did. They have over 240 stores in 20 states and they are expanding into even more areas. With name-brand goods and inventory overstock at deep discounts, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet could quickly become one of your favorite stores.

Here’s what you need to know about Ollie’s, straight from their management team:

  1. They know how to balance your favorite name-brand products with off-brand discounts.

You’ll find some of your favorite name-brand products there like Revlon, Dial, Remington, Conair, SoftSoap, Johnson & Johnson, and even Bed Head. And in the same aisle you’ll be treated to a “treasure hunt” of inventory that’s constantly changing. There are always good deals and surprises to be found and a nice balance of products and brands. You’ll be able to find the brands you’ve come to know and love as well as a few you’ve probably never heard of. With inventory changing every few days, you never know what you’ll find, but it will always be a good deal.

  1. More closeout deals are on the horizon, but Ollie’s is very choosy about the products they’ll sell.

With large retailers like Sears, Macy’s, and Payless closing stores, they have an overstock of inventory they need to unload. Closeout stores like Ollie’s will be looking to take some of that inventory off their hands, but they are very selective about the products they’ll choose. The items they sell will both fit in with their main business and be products they know their customers will love. They won’t accept deals just for the sake of filling their shelves.

  1. There are more stores on the horizon.

Ollie’s is committed to expanding their stores, including over 30 new stores this year alone. Their goal is to open a total of 33-35 new stores in 2017. From Florida to Ohio to Kentucky, Ollie’s is growing quickly and bringing new stores to shoppers all over the country.

  1. They have a customer loyalty program.

Ollie’s Army is looking for you! They currently have about 8 million people in their customer loyalty program and they’re adding more every day. Loyalty members, or “enlistees” as they call them, earn one point for every dollar they spend. With 250 points, you’ll earn a certificate for 10% off one purchase. That’s for your entire purchase, not just one item. You’ll also receive emails about upcoming events and deals. And as an added bonus, you’ll receive special discounts throughout the year. Ollie’s credits 65% of the company’s business to its loyalty members!

  1. Smaller and larger stores are possible.

While most Ollie’s Bargain Outlets are about 30,000 to 33,000 square feet, they’re not opposed to a smaller or larger store if the location is a good fit. Management feels they can go down to as small as 25,000 square feet and as large as 45,000 square feet. Having a smaller or larger store allows them to offer more or less choices based on the needs of the consumers in that area.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet offers fabulous deals and a wonderful customer loyalty program. Since you know that you’ll always be able to find something you need as well as a surprise hiding in the aisles for you, you’ll want to go back again and again.
