I take a lot of pictures of my food. For no reason. Most because I think they’re pretty. And I’m proud of my accomplishment.
I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a regular food series on this blog, but trying to figure out the basics. I’m thinking it’ll be called “Quick, Healthy, Cheap Meals” and will have rankings for those categories (quick, healthy, cheap). I think it’ll work out well since I like all my meals to meet at least two of those criteria.
I’ve been cooking up a storm lately! I don’t know what has happened to me, but I’ve been cooking a LOT. Dare I say that … I’m really starting to enjoy cooking … Could it be?
Anyways, here are some pics of my food (some are recent and some are older.) The cool features on the first three pics are added by some app on my phone called PicPlz.

Labor Day omelet! Sauteed turkey sausage, onions, and tomatoes + cheese egg/egg white omelet. And a couple cute grapes. And coffee. Perfection. (cheap, healthy, kinda quick.)
chicken, tomato, onion on whole wheat crust. This was TOO DIE FOR. (kinda cheap, healthy, kinda quick)
Brussels sprouts abouts ta get ROASTED!! I’m obsessed with these. I really am.
chicken, baked fries, my lover roasted Brussels Sprouts. Not one of my finer creations, but definitely a go-to meal.
Grilled chicken with sauteed onions, sauteed asparagus, roasted sprouts (I need to stop), sweet potato fries. (not quick, healthy, somewhat cheap)
I discovered last night that roasted asparagus is AWFUL. Do not roast asparagus.
Simple scrambled eggs & whites (using this method – they’re so good!) and ham + a cup of frozen blueberries. This is one of my classiest habits: I’ll fill up a drinking cup with frozen blueberries and “drink” them. So lazy, so classy, so good. (cheap, healthy, quick!)
Wow, how embarrassing. Roasted B. sprouts again. And those are chicken tenders using corn flakes. It works quite well and they’re very crunchy. (quick, healthy, cheap)
Turkey meatballs! With wine! By candlelight! LOL. (healthy, quick, price varies on turkey)
Tortilla soup (VERY quick and easy, somewhat healthy (debatable), and very cheap)
the makings for shrimp kabobs. (quick, cheap (depending on shrimp price), healthy)
no bake cookie protein oatmeal (quick, healthy, cheap (depending on protein powder price)






I love roasted asparagus! What didn’t you like about it? How do you prefer it?
MUSHY!! It was so mushy! But maybe I didn’t roast it long enough. Usually I like it sauteed or grilled. I like it when they’re CRISP!

Oh my goodness! You sound like my kind of woman.
I don’t mind cooking, but I’m just terrible at it. However, I love trying all kinds of new food, and these pictures look so yummy. I’m a big fan of healthy but simple meals so if you do decide to create a recipes/food blog-I’m so there!
Don’t worry, b-sprouts are good for you! And I would definitely like to see a recipe for the no-bake cookie oatmeal!

Anywho, my new thing is definitely baked fries (over Fried Fries). They are so smooth and taste great with ketchup or even alone.
Also, ever since your post on scrambled eggs, my family begs me to make them for them on Saturday mornings. That bamboo spoon really does wonders (and the little splash of milk too!)

My favorite things in the world – asparagus, sweet potato fries and brussels sprouts! The pizza looks amazing!
Roasted asparagus are AWESOME!! Roast them with plenty (not too much) of olive oil, salt and pepper at high heat (400-ish) until they are crispy. Watch out depending on thickness of spears. Skinny ones will burn. Eat like french fries. Madly in love with these.
