Good morning Loves. Today we have a great giveaway for you – so tell all your friends.
I haven’t told you this yet, but I really hate wasting money. I know you are probably thinking “Well no one likes wasting money” and although that may be true, I really hate spending money on things that aren’t worth it. If I pay for a bad meal or buy something and then see it on sale a week later I literally feel sick to my stomach.
I will lay in bed at night and worry about all the other things I could have purchased with the wasted money. But with the help of a new friend, I am now changing my formerly obsessive ways.
Just say NO to “the man”
I recently had the pleasure of meeting financial author and columnist Ellen Roseman who is an inspiration to consumers every =where. Roseman is one woman who is not letting “the man” get her down when it comes to money. Her new book Fight Back: 81 ways to help you save money and protect yourself from corporate trickery is truly inspiring. It tells consumers how to fight for discounts, deals and money that is rightfully ours.
Most people try to avoid conflict because it’s uncomfortable and awkward, so instead of standing up for ourselves we just let things go to avoid the confrontation and in turn we end up making our selves sick. Has that ever happened to you? Have you ever wish you said something in the moment but didn’t and then replayed the scenario in your head over and over again until you just can’t take it anymore? I know I have.
Stand up for yourself – you can do it
We may stand up for ourselves at the office, with our spouse and with our family – so why not with our money? Maybe it’s because we are comfortable giving our opinions to family and friends, but we don’t want to do it with a complete stranger. But you know what I say? Don’t worry about what other people think – do what’s best for you!
Roseman’s new book is on sale now at Amazon and we are giving away an autographed copy to one lucky winner. Enter below to win, but first here’s a sneak preview…
